M.Sc(Food Technology)Admission 2010 at Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore
Introduction: Applications are invited for 2 year M.Sc. (Food Technology) Degree Course of the University of Mysore for the years 2010-12.
Eligibility: Admission is based on the merit as evidenced by academic records of the qualifying degree exams and also on the performance in the entrance examination. Minimum qualification for applying to the course is a Bachelor’s Degree in:
* Science with Chemistry as one of the major subjects with 55% in optional subjects of B.Sc. pass course (50% for SC/ST category) / 50% for B.Sc.(Hons.) course (45% for SC/ST category)
* Agriculture with minimum second class
* Engineering / Technology with minimum second class
* Mathematics at the Higher Secondary / PUC level is compulsory for the admission.
* International students are required to apply through the Indian Embassy / Consulates in the respective countries.
Application Procedure: Those who have appeared for final year examination and expect to get stipulated marks or class can also apply. Marks / Grades of all the years of qualifying Degree examination should reach this office as soon as possible, but not later than July 30, 2010. Please send DD for Rs.500/- drawn in favour of DIRECTOR, CFTRI, MYSORE, along with the filled in application form to “The DIRECTOR, CFTRI, MYSORE – 570 020.” Completed applications should reach the Director, CFTRI, Mysore on or before June 9, 2010.
The application form can be downloaded from the web site and the duly completed application form in all respect may please be sent to the Director, CFTRI, Mysore – 570020 along with a DD for Rs. 500.00 drawn in favour of DIRECTOR, CFTRI, Mysore, on or before June 9, 2010.
Entrance/Aptitude Test: Students who meet the eligibility criteria are required to take an entrance / aptitude test which will be held at Mysore and New Delhi on July 18, 2010.
Reservation: For SC / ST / OBC and Persons with physical disabilities – Applicable for admission to the course as per the Government Orders in this regard. Candidates claiming reservation under the specific category are to provide attested documents as proof in support of their claims.
