DU sold out about two lakh applications
The Delhi University (DU) has sold nearly 200,000 application forms for admissions to its undergraduate courses this year. The number of applications sold is more than three times the number of seats offered by the varsity. The sale of application forms, which began on 28 May 2010,has ended. The total number of seats offered by the varsity is 54,000 – a good 5,000 more seats than last year. Last year, the number of seats offered by DU was 49,000 and in 2008 it was 42,000.
