NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY – CSP INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE 2010 – CALICUT

International Conference on Communications and Signal Processing 2010 at National Institute of Technology Calicut

Introduction : Communication systems in general and wireless communication systems in particular have provided a rapidly expanding and useful range of services, and are continuing to evolve using a multitude of signal processing techniques. The very rapid pace of improvements in VLSI for signal processing applications has lead to the justifiable view of advanced signal processing as a key facilitator of the aggressively growing capacity demands of emerging wireless systems like 4G cellular, Wi-Max, wireless sensor and ad-hoc networks.

Consequently, there has been a tremendous and widespread effort on the part of the research community to develop novel signal processing techniques that can fulfill this promise at an affordable price. We hope that the International Conference on Communication and Signal Processing (ICCSP-2011) organized in collaboration with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) will embark a new initiative to bring together academic scientists, leading engineers, industry researchers and scholar students to exchange and share their experiences and research results about all aspects of Communications and Signal Processing, and discuss the practical challenges and the possible solutions. We look forward to your participation so as to make ICCSP-2011 an exciting and memorable event.

Objective : A major objective of the conference will be to pursue the progression from the theoretical aspects of innovative communication and signal processing techniques through to the implementation, evaluation and performance enhancement of practical communication systems. It is also planned to be a forum for presenting research outcomes of topics ranging from those of the physical layer to the application layer through all aspects of protocols and processes required to utilize the full potential offered by the current and the emerging networking infrastructure. Apart from these, we expect papers dealing with data, audio, image and video processing for multimedia, bio-medical and security applications.

Abstract Submission : ICCSP 2011 accepts only novel, previously unpublished papers in the area of Communications, Networking, and Signal Processing. Prospective authors are encouraged to submit an IEEE conference style paper up to 5 pages for the Full Paper category and 3 pages for the Short (Poster) Paper category ((including all text, figures, and references). Papers should use “Times New Roman” font with a size of 10 points for the text and should have all 4 margins on a page of width 0.5 inches or larger. The line spacing has to be 0.95 or at most 1. Use the sample manuscript (http://www.iccsp2011.nitc.ac.in/sites/default/files/MSW_A4_format.pdf) (http://www.iccsp2011.nitc.ac.in/sites/default/files/MSW_A4_format.doc) as a visual aid for formatting. You can also download the templates at http://www.ieee.org/web/publications/pubservices/confpub/AuthorTools/conferenceTemplates.html. We advise you to use the LATEX template for the IEEE conferences (using the style file IEEEtran.cls) which is designed to produce PDF documents which automatically confirm to the IEEE specifications. In this case, you may define the document class as \documentclass[conference].

Papers are to be submitted through EasyChair Conference Management System through the direct link for ICCSP 2011 https://www.easychair.org/account/signin.cgi?conf=iccsp2011. All paper submissions will be carefully reviewed by at least three experts and reviews will be returned to the author(s) with comments to ensure the high quality of the accepted papers.
To be published in the ICCSP 2011 Conference Proceedings and IEEE Xplore, at least one of the authors of an accepted paper is required to register for the conference. But this needs to be done only after you receive the confirmation that your paper has been accepted for presentation and publication in ICCSP 2011. Non-refundable registration fees must be paid prior to uploading the final IEEE formatted, camera-ready version of the paper. For authors with multiple accepted papers, one registration is valid for up to 2 papers. Accepted papers will be published in the ICCSP 2011 Conference Proceedings. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the IEEE ICCSP 2011 Conference Proceedings and in IEEE Xplore.

Important Dates:
Last date for paper submission : Aug. 21, 2010
Acceptance Notification : Oct. 29, 2010
Last date for camera ready copy submission : Nov. 30, 2010

Conference Venue : ICCSP 2010 will be held at National Institute of Technology Calicut, Kerala, India. It is planned to have the banquet dinner at the luxurious five star hotel, “Kadavu Resorts”, Calicut
